Pietro and Riccardo Ferro

Murano, Italy

Pietro and Riccardo Ferro are probably between the best engraver and coldworker actually working in Murano.
They started working in the coldwork shop of their father Paolo, engraver for some of the most famous international glass artists as Lino Tagliapietra, Philip and Monica Baldwin, Silvano Rubino, Davide Salvadore, Massimo Nordio, as for some leaders design firms as Venini and Barovier.
After years of experice and after working in close contact with artists and galleries, they started with their own creations.
Their works are made with multiple fusions of multi-coloured glass rods and pre-fused patterns in pretty thick slabs to obtain powerful flat glass paintings. Obviously the coldwork, expecially the battuto, is one of the most important features of their artworks and therefore all their coloured glass slabs are finished with deep carving and 3D patterns.

Each piece of their production is one of a kind. Please contact us if you need more infos about them
